Red Beryl

Deposits in the Wah Wah Mountains and the Thomas Range Mountains are the only known deposits in the world to produce fine-quality, bright red facet-grade beryl. Deposits in the State also produce facet-grade fluorite, scheelite, and sphalerites.

Sunstone Knoll is formed of volcanic vents that erupted during the early Pleistocene (1.6 million years to about 750,000 years ago).  

Topaz Mountain

Gem quality Amber and Sherry colored Topaz can be found at this site.
